CTF also offers two cooking programs for the blind/visually impaired. eight (8) session course trains participants to successfully prepare and cook food while building their confidence and self-sufficiency. A second ten (10) session follow-up course will also be offered that teaches techniques in grilling, sautéing, frying, braising, etc.

CTF has started a new project that will further support its mission to serve veterans and will also enhance CTF’s financial viability. CTF plans to build-out a mobile training kitchen, allowing us to bring the “classroom” closer to groups of veterans, making it easier for them to access our training program.  Enrollees will be paid to take part in the program and instruction will be provided by a professional chef. The mobile kitchen will also be available for events and catering. 

The cost of the mobile unit is estimated to be $50,000.00 - $60,000.00. When completed, it will offer a convenient kitchen environment for our culinary students and provide a revenue stream to allow us to serve more participants and create additional programs in the future.
